Welcome to ChefStart
ChefStart continues the culinary education program that began at Cooks in Abacoa.
Created by Chef John Carlino, Chef Allan Doherty and Chef Ashley Glenn, ChefStart is a “hands-on” cooking program for children 8-14 years old. Each week ChefStart Students will prepare appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts, designed to explore a variety of international cuisines and cooking methods.
No week will duplicate, so there is always a chance to expand their culinary knowledge.
Your aspiring chefs will be able to document their ideas, progress and recipes in their ChefStart recipe book. If your children attended our camp last year, they are more than welcomed to add to the recipe book they began at that time.
ChefStart is where the joy of cooking becomes a priceless memory and valuable living skill.
